Trick or Treat

Written by ALLAN FEAR

Elie was sitting on that leather sofa, facing a large flat-screen TV that was showing a movie where young girls had fun on the streets in trick or treat that Halloween night.

Blonde, thin, with a very well defined face like that of famous models, Elie stared at the scene of the film. Her eyes, a unique shade of blue-gray, seemed to sparkle.

All Elie most wanted was to be a normal girl, to be able to go out and have fun with other kids that Halloween night.

Poor Elie, she knew how beautiful she was, her body was just perfect, everyone was always enchanted by the sparkle of her sweet eyes. But she could not move, she would be able to change her beauty to have a normal life. She depended on other people for everything, that is to say, an invalid.

"Why do I have to be like this?" - asked Elie in her thoughts, feeling envious of those smiling young women in the film. "Why can't I be like all the other girls?" - she asked herself. Not only anger, but dark hatred was building in his chest.

Elie couldn't speak, couldn't move, was that the price to pay for being so beautiful? But what good was all that beauty to her if she was a nullity?

-Are you enjoying the Halloween movie Elie? - asked Jessica entering the room and sitting next to Elie on the couch. The young girl wore a witch costume and carried a bag full of candy. -See how many sweets I got today, do you want some?

Then Elie felt an obscure and powerful force, perhaps caused by her strong emotion, or perhaps it was the anger she felt as Halloween's midnight approached, and she managed to turn her face away and face Jessica who suddenly gained an expression of panic.

-Ahhh!! Shouted Jessica, trying to get up from the couch. But she was grabbed by Elie's cold, hard hands. -Mother help, my doll is moving!!

-No more watching TV, I don't want your cheap candy, you stupid girl!! - Elie's lips moved as she uttered those bitter, hateful words in a dismal and inhuman timbre, while her eyes flashed a devilish red glow. -Now we're going to play trick or t reat with your soul!!

THE HOUSE OF EVIL

Written by ALLAN FEAR

(Fan fiction inspired by the book trilogy 99 Fear Street - The House of Evil by R.L.Stine.)

1

The little boy named Jonas, lying on his bed on that stormy night, could not sleep. In addition to the deafening noise of thunderous noises , something cold, hidden in the shadows of the bedroom, made him shiver. He could see nothing but the darkness that surrounded him, but he could feel that there was an evil presence there.

Jonas was staring at the darkness of the bedroom where, suddenly, something seemed to move and he caught a glimpse, in the phantasmagoric light of a lightning that penetrated through the window glass, thick streaks of blood, bright red , running down the wall. Jonas was shaking, after he had heard the frightening christmas holiday story they told him about his new home in 99 Fear Street. He heard about the bloody walls, the bodies without  heads and the creatures that moaned late at night.

Poor Jonas, his former schoolmates said that the entire city of Shadyside , where he had moved to, was haunted.

2

Jonas swallowed, incredulous at the macabre sight, feeling fear freeze the blood in his veins, trying to convince himself that it was just a leak. He covered his head with the comforter for protection.

Jonas cried out when he felt cold hands like a grave pulling his legs, yanking him out of bed. Pulling him into that macabre darkness.

3

Desperate, the poor boy tried to get up to flee, but that dark horde of obscure beings, like darkness floating in darkness, with their wild eyes flashing an infernal red, stared at him, coercing him.

Jonas was screaming, desperate and terrified at the phantom vision. Those wicked beings surrounded him, moaning and muttering curses. Jonas felt the cold chills spread throughout his body while his eyes, pleading, stared at the hideous personification of evil without being able to do anything to get rid of that strange paralysis, similar to what occurred to him during nightmares.

Then Jonah heard the strange, inhuman, dark words of various fearful tones being spat out of the darkness with a cold, putrefying breath on his face, mortifying him.

The voices of the dead from beyond the grave said:

Jonas, you coward, when will you understand that you are now one of us and no longer a frightened little boy?

This was the house where you lived and died. Here is your tomb Jonas, your body still lies lost within these bloody walls. You and your puppet, lost forever in the darkness of evil that dominates this cursed ground!

Your family left after your disappearance, leaving you with us in the damned places of this hellish house.

Soon we will have new residents Jonas and you will have to be like us, the ghosts that inhabit the house of evil on 99 Fear Street.

Jonah, you have become part of this evil, accept your destiny and let the darkness that inhabits this home enter you.

Jonas crouched, hugging his knees to his chest as he faced all that horror. Cold tears seemed to flow down his face, but in truth, they were not tears, but the icy smoke of darkness snaking through his face and penetrating his eyes, recruiting his innocent soul into that legion from beyond the grave.
